Lisbon & Lisburn, no thanks to the Volcanic Ash!
It looked touch and go for a while with that big ol’ ash cloud threatening to cancel all flights, but we made it to lovely Lisbon, where Helen & Aaron did it in style. It’s really nice to photograph a wedding in a WARM place, with the sea near-by. There was a lovely laid back feeling to it, with the church and hotel in walking distance. And it’s clear that the locals like to get in on the act too!
Clare & Paul on the other hand stuck closer to home, but got one of the best days of the year so far at the elegant Larchfield Estate near Lisburn. It’s such a beautiful setting. Sunshine helps, there’ s no doubt about that, but at Larchfield, even rain can make great photos!
Recent Weddings – Grace and Philip
It was a lovely April day for Grace & Philip’s wedding in the beautiful grounds of Campbell College. Grace admitted to being camera shy, but we are at a loss to understand why such a good looking girl wouldn’t want her photo taken! Still, the April showers held off, and these are a few of our favourites from Grace & Philip’s big day.
Featured Wedding – A Classic Wedding, Beautifully Styled.
Laura and Emmet’s wedding was just so stylish, you could eat it! Everything about it had a timeless quality that made it a pleasure to photograph and put together as an album. Although this wedding was on a December day, careful lighting lifted the winter conditions.

Laura's look was classic and beautiful, with subtle colour for both bridesmaids and flower arrangements
Hints and Tips
Going to a wedding show can be a great way of seeing a lot of suppliers in one place. But it can also be a bit like a blizzard and by the time you leave, it’s all a blur! However, it’s a great place to pick up ideas and refine your plans. If you know what you want when you arrange to meet a photographer – for instance, what type of album, what style of photography – then it will be much more likely that you’ll end up with the kind of package that suits you!
Featured Wedding: Fun with Class – A Unique Wedding

The little flower girl holds some of the beautiful 'country cottage' flowers, while the rug reinforces the retro feeling of the day.
We are LOVING Lisa and John’s wedding. Their style was so individual, but so much fun at the same time. They clearly had a ball thinking up all the details, like the use of the vintage car for the bridal couple.
There were some very quirky shots with a very cute vintage tractor and little jokey aspects of the wedding, like the shot-gun toting car park attendant and signage demanding £5 from the guests!
But this was balanced by a sense of place and tradition that made some aspects of the day look like a wedding from the 1950s. Lisa’s flowers were particularly beautiful, and looked as though they were fresh from a cottage garden. There was a real sense of the families getting together for a relaxed day to celebrate the wedding – it was understated, and had a beauty that was refreshing and original.
The bridal preparation took place in the Co Londonderry countryside and the reception was held in stately Belfast castle.
